Once upon a time I had a friend.
It wasn't so very long ago.
A friend that really mattered,
A friend that cared for me,
But friend, I never see you anymore.

It makes me so sad to look back now.
To see that we have lost what really counts.
How close we were together,
Like a brother and a sister,
But friend, I never see you any more.

If you could tell me just what I did wrong.
Then maybe it wouldn't hurt so much inside.
But all I know is confusion,
Hurt, pain and great delusion,
And friend, I never see you anymore.

Why must we always try to hide.
Not let anyone know whats felt inside.
A heart that's near to breaking,
Tears that come too greatly,
Cause friend, I never see you anymore.

Well I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
And I guess that maybe you never really cared.
But even if that's true,
I'll still be loving you,
And wishing friend, I'd see you once again.
