Please Remember Poem by Richard Jarboe

Please Remember

When blindness comes to you,
And the deaf come in the night,
When the dawn seems forever gone,
I'll be there in the mourning light.

Cast you eye to the mountain,
Cast your eye to the stream,
When silence seems endless,
Please remember me.

When time comes to slip away,
When the well of our life runs dry,
There in the ash I'll remain,
I'll still be right there by your side.

Cast your eye to the river,
The river rolls on down to the sea,
And when silence seems endless,
Please remember me.
