Poem #25

your pointing
finger
says, "come here"

and so my
feet join my
hands
in the feast
that the
two bodies finally
shared

let it be
shared in the garden
of Love

or (if it is
dark and the moon
is silent so with
the stars
in their
constant lights)

let this be
some kind of diamonds
in your breast
and in my chest.

i did not say
i love you
i cannot
for i am bound
to the honest words
of love.
