Poem No: 93. Once At Night I Was Lying On My Bed Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Once at night I was lying on my bed.
Suddenly a thought came into my head
That I would write few amorous verses.
The bright moon filled my mind with happiness.

I looked at the moon sky through my casement.
My heart brimmed with the light of merriment
When I saw you flying like a fairy
And calling me to caresses and love me.

I went to you on the wings of poesy.
We both were flying in the sky freely.
The silver moon was smiling to see us
And busy to find her lover so much.

Then I did come back with you joyfully
To immortalize our love through poetry.
