ALMIGHTY GOD in times of trouble,
Please continue to aid and help me,
Show me how to continue to serve THEE,
Before my right leg is removed at the knee.

I write this poem whilst awaiting amputation,
Antibiotics, Saline and wash in advance,
Keep me safe to return to THY Service,
My Faith in YOU still daily dost last.

Show me the way to continue my Life,
Help me now ~ how I might serve THEE,
Give strength now to Lisa and Family,
As disabled I shall be, but will always serve THEE.

Be with me ~ might my Faith continue,
Give strength and thanks to all around me,
To Doctors, Nurses, Porters and Helpers,
As this morning they do prepare me.

To continue my Life to hourly Serve THEE,
A pain I might have been to those around me,
My nature was controlled by powers beyond me,
As now I have known it was always by THEE.
