Poet’s Departure Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

Poet’s Departure

A poet but invisible
A poet but indelible
A poet you departed
A poem, yours in silence

A man can be a poet
Without poems
A poem would be the life
The way it flows

A laugh and a smile
A tear and a sigh
Suffering heart
May be the words

Desire for the life
Challenge for the Death
To define the truth
Can it predict only through eyes?

Alcoholic lover
Your dream no clear
But humanly power
You left forever
