Poet's Status: An Update Poem by Rahman Henry

Poet's Status: An Update

Rating: 5.0

No open declaration; hints you've given—
So, looking down everywhere,
Keep silent. Expressing vocal-thought nowhere

All live as deaf and dumb
The stories, words, mysteries and history
In me—
Still, like rainfall, blame falls upon me;
As if, It's cats and dogs!
But
I keep quiet as dead-stones.

Assailant safer, even today—
As because:
All the doors, windows, homes, streets are mute.

The people can't wait...
They want to know: Identity of murderers.

Yet, the safety patrol have no reply;
Motionless and still as paintings they are!
