Poet With A Missing Heart. Poem by Oliver Coleman

Poet With A Missing Heart.

Rating: 5.0

I have no heart
In a time of greed, it was consumed
Love does not make the world go round
She has taken something that did not belong to her
I am not alive
There is a black hole where was my heart
The world has torn me
All humanity has faded from my thoughts
My eyes are filled with hatred, my lungs heavy with envy
Corruption swirls around my feet
Not even satin himself dare oppose
God has fought for as long as he can
I am in control
She has tried to console my blind rage
I have cast her aside
My heart is restored, the beginning of the end
Military, secret service, government come into action
They assume their roles, pawns of life
Consumed in shadow, I am not
Mind over body
Mine has separated from the now expendable corpse
Earth is now a plague of the black that no being dare approach
Now a dark outcast and is nothing more than a husk
There are more worlds
Death and decay
Those who say there is good in me abandon hope
From my blind spot appears another of my kind
My kind
No, an intruder
We are both of the same Caliber
I, am
She, is
There in the the desolation of time we shall sit
Two old, ravaged, drained, broken, shocked, eased, tranquil, peaceful, legendary, minds
