Poetic Life And Death Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Poetic Life And Death

Poetic life and death

Not even Lorca was exempted
-from the depression
-from the oppression

He went on exile and
-had to choose refuge
-in some house
- (belonged to Rosales family)
-to escape the forces; repression's
-Granada's
-that came, searched
-looked for him…

Am I same?
And others?

Oh, exile, refuge
-we have you
-live in you…

Freedom
-we need you…
-where are you?

Ezra Pound answered so:
- "In the cage that US government
-set for me as if I am monkey…"

Most poets have been in:
- "The jails and behind bars…"

I kneel and ask my teeth:
- "Can you be walls and bars
-censoring my harsh words…? "

Their reply:
- "What about freedom? "

Where are we?
Where are we?
Where are we?
