Poetry As Sport

In darts,
the line from which you throw
is the 'oche'...
which is said to rhyme with 'hockey'.

In poetry,
what a poem is aiming at
is on the other side of its last dot,
which I therefore deem
is an oche too...
and having an oche
makes a poem a team.
