if you had a poem to write
you needed to write
how would you write it?
I have written a poem or two
learned a trick or two
about how to write...
shall I tell you a technique
or two about poems
ways to write?
you can plan it out write
it if you can find choice words
a seamless fit don't fight it...
a poem to puzzle solve write
can be incredibly nice
if you write it right...
don't force fight it...
you can take it slow
write it slow slow
or write with speed blitz it
you can write a poem think about it
if all thoughts filter theme focused
no problems arise to roadblock poets!
block creativity confound it! ! !
five decades into writing poems
since primary school writers
block almost never never had it
now I can write without thinking
no forethought write a poem complete
from start to finish without thinking
to write a thought thoughtless
an oxymoron write written timeless
a spontaneous perception awareness
at university long ago I studied literature poetry
for four years styles forms poetic periods poets
it was not good for finding a personalized poetic
voice creative thinking like too many kitchen cooks
too many styles recipes too much knowledge competes
can spoil soup broth better find self skills five decades
sharpened to write start to finish without script predetermined
thinking at university I did not believe in stream of consciousness
creative thought flow no pause writing without thought thinking
strange time did pass decades did pass
now I often write stream of consciousness
without pause without thinking can write
poetry graffiti scribble script thoughtless
