Poetry
Poetry born out of crisis,
Dilemma,
Hamletian to be, ot to be,
Out of inner and psychic crisis and dilemma,
Hamlet undergoing the crisis, the poetic dilemma
Of to be, not to be,
In between the two horns of a dilemma.
Macbeth handshaking with Hamlet
And Hamlet with Othello,
King Lear and Prospero
While on the other Dr.Faustus
And Beckettian absurd personae
Getting ready behind the curtain
For their turn to come.
Man's Town
God planned it otherwise,
But man towns and cities
Mechanical and artificial
Of traffic jams and crowds.
Man's town of fly ash,
Cemented structures
Bereft of seasonal whiffs and wisps,
Change in season.
When do seasons come and go away,
We know it not,
Landscapes and landmarks too look changed
As the same highway structure.
Man's town so dull, drab and dreary
And routined,
Always tense and care-worn,
It's a matter of survival and existence.
