Poets Are Born And Not Made Poem by Francis Duggan

Poets Are Born And Not Made

Rating: 5.0

Poets are born and not made
And never into oblivion to fade
Long after the breath of life from them has gone
The poems they have written are destined to live on
I am not saying anything here that is new
When i say that poets as ever are few
Though self professed poets as we know are not rare
Of that much i too am very much aware
A good poem to many joy always does bring
Their own praises true poets do not need to sing
Their poems do speak for their greatness it would seem
By so many they are held in high esteem
Poets to their craft do remain ever true
Give to the him or the her the credit that they are due.

Francis, I am giving credit to your beautiful tribute to poets. And more importantly, to a poet that I admire and respect. Sincerest thanks for all your so finely crafted poetry all these years.
