Pointless - Poem by Waseem Sherif

No breeze
Just freeze
The sun
With the cold eye
I see
The blue sea
The peace in death
I seek
No sweet
The soul behind
The bones
So bleak
The ink I speak
I’m chasing me
Killing me!
Who’s me? !
Time is fear
Fear in me
Like the roots
Of a tree
No purity
Serenity
Howls at me
Flickering
Stars
In that unseen sky
Stalking the moon
That sought the light
Of the frozen sun
The sun
We thought
It’s there
The pointless hope
Of me
Being there!
