Poison Poem by Chris Brown

Poison

Rating: 5.0

No don’t do it mama,
Please no poison on your breath,
Each night I pray that I wont see this night become your death,
You say it makes you happy,
You say it makes you warm,
Scared I lay beside you though this wont me help stop the storm,
It’s just you and me mama,
You said we were a team,
The two of us inseparable except in your drunk dreams,
Please put away the bottle,
So you don’t hurt me again,
I cry out “help me jesus! ” but cannot say amen,
Dear god where did you leave me,
My mama and me both,
I know I’m not in heaven even though I took your oath,
My body lays below me,
Battered and defeated,
That was the last time mama, your happiness completed

Alcoholics, Make me shiver, as much as your poem did. Very visual

Indeed, the alcohol is poison and in this case a slow form of death. I enjoyed reading this one and found it realistic and vivid.
