I know she will wait quietly for me
At the front of the station near the Gum Tree
She doesn't know what I have done or where I've been
And I don't want to tell her of what I have seen
But that's my other life where you have to be strong
Always in control and know what can go wrong
So I keep up the mask and know it hides the fear
Of being a copper then returning to those I hold dear.
