For 'I did him in',
Germans say, 'Ich brachte ihn um die Ecke'
(I brought him round the corner)
and 'Ich machte ihm den Garaus'
(I did to him the ultimate exit) . *

As humans are the ultimate apes
can Germans call them 'Garaffen'?

* Auch,
'Ich habe ihn
um die Ecke gebracht'
und '... ihm den Garaus gemacht'.

18.7.21. the e on the end of all the German words except 'die' is pronounced 'uh'. 'die' is 'dee'. 'auch' (owk) means 'also'.
