Poor Husband Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Poor Husband

Rating: 5.0

Neither wife should try to punish
Nor make any attempt to finish
He will go down with lots of burden
If you add daily some concern

Give him log list of demand
To be supplied within week end
Wait for his outburst with anger
He shall prove as bad manager

If he fails to bring essential things
Serve his plate with simple things
He will know the tactics
But may not prove angry critics

He shall come to sense
But has to tolerate nonsense
As he has difficult in meeting
So he may have forced smile with greetings

Wife need not bother
Just watch and offer
Best of treatment
He will forget with idea of resentment

Very nice. Donald Attorman1 hour ago I get the sense that the male character in this is someone who is under constant pressure from a wife who expects him to be some sort of Hercules, and then berates him when he is anything less. He wants her to understand the burdens he faces but he does not like to complain.
