Porches Poem by Marilyn Lott

Porches

Rating: 4.3

I think porches are so fascinating
They come in every size
You can sit upon the porch and read
Become older, yes, but wise.

I love driving across the country
See porches so different everywhere
Some are small with a tiny roof
There isn't much room to spare.

While others wrap all around a home
A child could ride his or her trike
‘Round and ‘round they would go
A porch a child would really like.

You can watch the neighbors' meander by
Say, "Hello, how is that new baby doing? "
You can hear a bit of gossip now and then
So much joy your porch can bring.

Yes, porches are special for sure
It is another thing to make life fun
Observe them as you walk or drive
When you are out and on the run!
