Portland Streetcar Poem by Harlan Simantel

Portland Streetcar

streetcar, streetcar!
how fair you are

with varied colors
and a pleasant noise

you convey us
together
to the places we goes

time to look
and make new friends

free in fareless square!
this city
and its nobodies
God mends, tends
