Portrait Poem by Adora Williams

Portrait

What prominence do I have to head my
Head high and wait, stoically, for the picture to be
Formed

The last original thought is why we're here
A wanting; unrest of what's best could potentially be
Be

What an interesting verb in English Language that unit-
Ed two crucial meanings of existence
I am not, but I am now, how to explain

I look, unchanging, peripherally — apathy attempt
— Sophistication of the ones who don't care — a trial,
No errors; I look yonder, not to face my head ahead
