Portrait Poem by Fred Babbin

Portrait

Her head - an oval egg
smooth curve that meets at the
neck, arched to the right,
hair like black silk,
draped to the left,
on the back, with the
spine showing,
another curve, but more complex,
running like a stream
flowing with dreams
on a back like a Chinese vase
so smooth and flawless
hiding full breasts
and the edge of a thigh
completing the picture
