Postcards From The Past Poem by Marilyn Lott

Postcards From The Past

Rating: 5.0

There is nothing quite like postcards
Sent from somewhere in the past
Put into a box or a chest
Sealed up so they would last

Hand written little messages
To say “Hi” and “How’ve you been? ”
Thoughtful little notes they are
That people used to send

Colorful pictures from travels
To pass on down the line
So much thought went in to send
The nicest one they could find

Notes to catch you up on news
Or perhaps you have been sick
So many wonderful choices
That the sender carefully picked

Do you have some picture postcards
From somewhere in the past?
Be sure to pass them down, my friend
For they are treasures that will last!
