Power Of Prayer Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Power Of Prayer

Remember the innocence
of our childhood prayers
'Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.'

Now our world is harsher now
We bend a knee and head to bow
Asking for forgiveness here
or for help of loved ones dear

We wonder how He hears them all
To heal the wounds when we fall
Pick us up because he cares
It all starts with the power of prayer

I hope you're right with this one. I find my prayers for others answered more so than for self...Now I lay Me Down to Sleep......can't help but wonder how many millions still utter that each night...nice poem, very to the point....marci.xo
