Praise God For Poetry! Poem by Denis Martindale

There's wisdom in some poetry that God keeps His eyes on,
With poems sung in harmony, with faith to build upon.
Yes, I feel blessed through songs I've heard that Elvis used to sing,
How Great Thou Art sure preached God's Word, with joys none else could bring.
Since God inspires poets still, we know there's more to do,
According to the Father's will that's planned for me and you.
That's why I share my poems now, with thousands, maybe more.
Still trusting in the Lord somehow, since God fills me with awe.
I edit poems and rehearse then share what truths there are,
To join God's poets writing verse and singers near and far.
