Pray For Forgiveness - Poem by Ankoku Gekido

I Beg and Pray
For the Chance to be forgiven
But I find the pleas pointless
I find them empty
For how can I be forgiven for all my sins?
How can I be forgiven for all that I have ruined in my life?
I’ve let my family’s savior die
I’ve let down my best friend
I’ve hurt another good friend for no reason
I let my brother nearly kill himself
I’ve stood by as my sister fucked up her chance of being happy
I’ve abandoned all hope for this forgiveness I seek
For I do not deserve forgiveness
I do not deserve to be released from my pain
For the pain I cause others ends up coming to me
The pain from others gathers inside me
Killing me slowly and painfully
I could end it all so easily
However I realize that to do so I would hurt more people
So there would be more pain in my soul
More sins to weigh down my soul
So all I can do is pray hopelessly
Pray for this dream of forgiveness
I will always
Pray for Forgiveness
