Prayers Bring Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Prayers Bring

Prayers bring

Prayers bring me peace
Without paying any fees
God is at receiving end
Always considers me dear and friend

God keeps eyes open
Keep heaven's gate open
Many enter quietly
With no record of evils

What have we done then?
I asked often
There was no answer
I had to find from others with an anger

Let me do my rob
Don't try to rob
My opportunity
As there is no food for family

People seek refuge
But refuse
To accept the truth in their life
For them life is as sharp as knife

Life shall always trouble
As we have seen people
In their later age
Very tragic end to be written on page
