Prayers For The Lost Poem by Randy McClave

Prayers For The Lost

On this white piece of paper are the names
They are Andy, Lindsay, Jessica and James,
These are the ones that are sadly lost
And into hell's fire I don't want their souls tossed
They are a part of God's great creation
I don't want their souls to end up in Damnation,
Though they have used and lied and done others wrong
In Heaven with our lord, they do belong.
Though they've never sought salvation through our Lord Christ
Even though for them on the cross he was sacrificed,
These are the names of my friends and loved ones
Who are my true icons.
I truly believe that we are in the end of days
So, unto the Lord I still always give my praise,
I pray for my friends and family now instead of later
So, I have written their names on this white piece of paper.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A local Church is having a revival and they are asking if like to write on a white piece of paper loved ones lost, so they could pray for them. So I wrote this poem with the name of son, my son's girlfriend, my ex girlfriend and an ex in-law.
