A hundred hoops I jumped over
Can't think how to conquer sleep.
I have changed the world over
Only when I was wide awake.
Sleep defeats me every morning
A giant fight starts early in the day.
Lots of energy is lost in opening eyes
I wonder how I can fight this fight.
Remains of a depression lingers still
A thing that hates waking up
I like to see myself as awakening
Cannot wake up from a night's sleep.
I can will all day long to wake up
The day right after a night's sleep.
Eight hours of sleep defeats me
Only to lose the golden morning moments
I can only pray now for strength
To just get up from a sleepy bed.
All I can do is just pray for health
Motivation for the golden mornings
