Precious Thoughts - Poem by Rik Bertrand
I want to tell you precious thoughts I hold dear,
Things that you, my love, are only to hear.
These thoughts dance and romance my dreams,
And this seed of thought is young and strong it seems.
My eyes are telling my body to rest,
I want to say good morning, may your day be blessed,
And to also say good night, and hear from you once again before my
I'm will hold on and will keep you tight,
Here in my heart you feel just right.
By my head this little phone will lay,
Patiently waiting for the good morning you say.
It was not so long ago today,
Your lovingly friendliness warmed my way.
The breeze blew and I caught your scent
And I knew that you, for me, were meant
Shhhh! I hear the light breaking through the dark,
Not here, but there, half a world away sings the lark.
How can this be, when did all this love start?
All I know is in the beat of my heart.
