Predator Poem by Belquis Barés

Predator

Rating: 5.0

Skillful and fierce
Predator
Crush my unbelief,
My entrails.

I see my heart
Being bled,
Begging you
To end the task.

The darkness
Surrounds me;
I hear your panting,
Threatening.

My heartbeat
Hastens:
I do not understand
Why I must wait.

Imprison me already
In your jaws.
Take the life from me,
That I may kill the dreams.

All my steps
Lead to you:
There is no other exit
From this labyrinth.

Finish the purpose
Of my cruel agony,
Or heal my wounds
With your love.
