Presidential Debate Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Presidential Debate

Presidential debate

Like many
I wasted a long time
Sat silent, observed, watched
The so called "Freedom"
But in fact "Votes to buy".

No, no, no
Not inside USA.

I feel sad
Feel in Rome, Persia,
Empires, among them
Hitler's Reich
All rotten from head
Fell and falls.

Said Rumi
My Rumi
My idol…
Great "He"
The man of heart, poems:
"Rots the fish from head! ! ! "

Long live you after death
My great game-changer
My dervish in Chelleh
My Sufi, my leader

Saw the two poles' leaders
Both of them millionaires
Both shepherds with fire
Both corrupt, pretend, are lairs

With such head
Poor is fish
The rotten.

Felt stink and stench
Of the lake, sea, ocean
I am caught in a net.
