Pride Poem by CHIGOZIE DANGOL

Pride

He walks with this air around him
His complex makes him demean others
He is proud and arrogant
And he thinks he is wise

Quick to pass the blame
His hands slow to task
Maybe that's who he really is
Maybe that's what he finally became

He makes derisive mockery of those around him
All stands in his presence yet loathe his same presence
He is irrational, pompous, self indulging and foolish
Yet he is the boss.

Think of it, who care what you do
Think of it, who started this war
Because we do earnestly wait
the change that is Not now or ever.
