Pride Goes Before Destruction Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Pride Goes Before Destruction

Pride goes before Destruction
And for those who fly so high
In clouds they bask in sheer Deception
With thoughts of heights they bask in lies.

Those who love to soar the skies
Get blinded by the light of Sun
Their haughtiness divert their eyes
And with their falsehoods, come undone.

Those who are up go nowhere but down
As the rules of Physics so declared
And pride brings low those who surround
Their lives in arrogance is bared.
