Primetime Diversions - Poem by Stephen S. Yeandle

Today and the day before last or just before the day before that…
Something began
Troubling,
Worrying,
Alarming,
Concerning,
Distressing,
Unsettling me
And it wasn’t the
NFL
NBA
PGA
MLB
WWA
And it wasn’t the
Federation Internationale de Football Association.

Today and the day before last or just before the day before that…
Something began
Confusing,
Puzzling,
Perplexing,
Confounding,
Mystifying,
Baffling,
And
Bewildering me…
And it wasn’t the American Idol,
Paris Hilton,
Reality TV,
Fox News,
Britney Spears,
Brokeback Mountain
And it wasn’t Rosie O’Donnell…

I wonder what it could be.
I must be just to busy to see…

liked this. Great message. I'm sure our government doesn't mind that most Americans have their attention elsewhere... -chuck (Report) Reply
