Prized Woman Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Prized Woman

It melodiously rang
When you sang
An old song
“Never go wrong, never go wrong”

I remembered cuckoo
How come it was true?
Your voice was similar
I heard her regular

My morning was to be cheerful
I was looked at sky to become successful
But more I wanted to own prized woman
Who could look me after in hot sun?

You promised me to be one
There was no room for doubt to be shown
The sky was above me
We were pledged to be one and free

“Hello, I am yours” I heard her saying
As if she was laying
Her charm for more years to come
I was stunned at her show and welcomed
