Profile Of A Dead Man Poem by Jack Williams

Profile Of A Dead Man

Rating: 4.3

There you are, my friend
Immortalised by the Internet
Temporal life at an end
I would never have placed a bet
That when you were gone
And your coffin displayed
You would live on
As a free web page

You had no religion
No heaven for you
Yet you go on living
It’s uncomfortably true

Every day your silly picture
Grins mockingly at me
No need for scripture
You have your eternity.
