Projecting Onto Jesus Poem by Chuy Amante

Projecting Onto Jesus

We all know what he looks like,
US.
We are the "good" ones.
Yeah we have big cars and houses
and banks accts. and he would look
right in our car and sitting with
us at our favorite bar.

Who humbles who?

What if he's king dumpster diver,
a taxi cab driver
a teacher
a chinese worker,
not a preacher

just living, giving, loving, sharing
all with the ALL
no interest in fashion
feeding people is His passion,
hanging out with the salt
of the earth

necktie? Suitcoat? Golden staff and crown?
those who don't know him, do cause frowns
