Promise Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Promise

Just make a promise to me
That you will never let me go
Baby just promise that you'll stay commited
Don't let nobody ruin what we have
And baby just promise that you'll always love me
Through the tough times, and hardships, You'd stay mine
Even when I cry, than kiss your lips,
Just promise these things to me
Because I still believe and us, I promise

From the bottom of my heart I'll love you forever
Even if we don't remain together
Now listen. I've been withyou for awhile
And have been incredibly happy
To have somebody to talk to, love, and hold me
I found that in you

I mean I've never been in love
No, Not like this
How you've came into my life and opened up my heart
After being closed for a while due to the hurt one caused
Finally! I can smile

If nothing is promised to me and you
Just make me the promise that you will be
Someone I can depend on and love for eternity
