The hopes and dreams
That we once held dear
And the future we longed for
Has disappeared
The promises made
The love that we shared
And all we envisaged
Is no longer there
Ghostly shadows
Are all that remain
Invisible soul mates
Engulfed in life's maze
Feeling forlorn
Grief stricken
So dazed
There is no escape
All exits are blocked
Memories so sweet
I pray will stay
Erasing the pain
As we go our own way
I know that one day
We will meet again
In another lifetime
We will put it all right
No misunderstandings
Soul mates are destined
To never give up
Their love is eternal
In all walks of life
