Proud To Be Human Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I am proud to be human,
Whether you are a good man,
Good looking or intelligent woman,
Matters less, but what more you can,

You may be leading simple life,
Having kids and good looking wife,
Time in your favour and more rife,

Everyone may prefer and want peace,
Life to be spent with ease,
Not remember but bad memory erase,
Almost all but not a one optional case,

I want not to be caught on wrong foot,
Doesn’t want to be a part of loot,
It might have been cornered from draught,
With all precautions and never caught,

I will practice but not attempt to preach,
Not breaking rules or committing breach,
Case in itself exemplary for each,
Everybody can and within reach,

Does that require an effort extra ordinary?
Or submission of reports preliminary?
It should be performed normal way,
Who might dare interfere and say?

All come on earth, live and parish,
Work leave behind without finish,
Not an enough will power to accomplish?
Orthodox way and does not look polish,

Feel for others but still not show pity,
Always harmony peace and amity,
Live with present and work with continuity,
Not a slight hint or word with ambiguity,

I may not achieve what I desired?
But may find others get inspired,
Not live life with date expired,
But lovable life with knowledge acquired,

Why there are riot and agitation in street?
Why not people live in harmony and eyes meet?
Will it not be a marvelous feat?
Surpass previous records and beat,

I will continue to live with ease,
Don’t interfere with simple work please,
I shan’t oblige, obey and deviate,
I see no earnest efforts for sufferings to alleviate
