Proverb Poem by Paul Daniel

Proverb

Always aim for the sun, cos if you miss you'll land between the stars.
I believed that when I was 9 years old but now it only makes me laugh.
To land between the stars you say? Cold and all alone?
Looking down upon the life you've lost, knowing your on your own.

Aiming for the sun is good, hot times ahead for sure.
But when blinded by the bright white lights, will you still be shouting more?

I've lived my life from time to time, others times it's passed me by
But one thing I think I come to learn is never look up at the sky
Never stand there and wonder, just what does lie beyond
And dont begin to ponder, the things you should've done.
Yes you mucked it up. And everythings your fault
so accept it and move on with life, cos no one cares at all.
You're your only jury, your judge, your crime, your cell.
So sentence yourself not guilty, flick the finger to everyone else.

disregarding consequence, doing anything you please
Do what makes you happy, never get down on one knee.
Tell people when you hate them, tell lies, pretend, decieve.
But the best peice of advice that I can give, is whatever you do, dont listen to me.
