Public
State imposes tax on public
And claims to be truly democratic
What is duty of republic?
To be governed by, for and of the public
What are the salient features?
No one cares for the future
For human rights and individual rights
For each steps you have to fight
Poor is getting poor
Rich is becoming richer
State is getting corrupt
No action comes prompt
Million of rupees go in waste
Human mind can read and rest
Human plight and misery are only issue
Progress and prosperity is for world to review
There are no safeguards and provisions
Long legal battles are awaited with no action
Justice is denied or delayed
Our eyes are just dismayed
We may still dream of world peace
Yes, we want to live at ease
No wars and skirmishes at border
People must live peacefully and in order
It is good to be in everybody’s interest
Public awareness is crucial test
No one can argue for the plight
What can do it to address
