Pure Canadian Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Pure Canadian

Pure Canadian

Canada's Ten-Dollar
-is a sword and dagger
-in the eyes, heart, brain
-of racist, unaware…

Same "Bill" with Viola
-for us, far different
- (We, who love, also care;
-deeply and with conscious,
-for every race, culture…)
-it is large blanket…

It covers as if with silk, feather;
-comforting like mother.

Showing her vertical
-to some, is venom, knife;
-to some is full of life.

She had guts in her time
-resisted the-then-law
-by giving her own life.

Her action is worldwide
-we too, must have a part.
