Pure Love Poem by Choene Alley Semenya

Pure Love

Rating: 5.0

She adores me
And I her, -

I am
Well-versed
To love
So deep,
And so is she.

For that
Which the purpose
Is served with gratitude
And love in its finest quality.

And to God
I pray this passion
Not be all too brief
If brief at all.

I pray this love be kind,
Pure and unending, such that
Its purity take form in
Kindness and care.

My soul
Is roaring with affection,
Numberless in its form
My heart bound by spell,
Your impeccable love, a gift of life,

Breathes eternity into my lungs -
Patches dreadful crevices in my heart
Inflicted by lies and deceptions from
Ancient tales and chronicles of
Erstwhile sweeter love.

In a nutshell, the latter is bygone, and you here -
Your love; its purity scares the living daylights off me,
Scares me in a way that holds delight and joy so;
My love is pure, and so is yours.
