Purple Tears For A Prince Poem by Hebert Logerie

Purple Tears For A Prince

The unexpected death of brother Prince
Brought a lot of tears and clouds of sadness
Our brother was different. He was the best
In everything that he did. His purple pants
His multiple purple outfits could make a King jealous
Wow! Prince was a true and genuine royal prince
He was versatile; he could play a lot of instruments
Prince was unique, courteous, stylist, and generous
Our prince was special. At times, he could be funny
And indeed comical. Mixing the colors red and blue
Will give you purple, violet, the color of aristocracy
In a good way, royalty in a positive light, mystery
In a special genre, and piety in a loving and godly aura
Prince was the baobab or the afro-king of a special era
He was a superstar in every conceivable way, a purple rose
Floating in a quiet and clear stream, hanging out with a purple rain
In a sad April afternoon. Happiness is nothing but a sweet pain
That the heart will never forget. Prince left us in a morose
Orgy, in an unconventional and surrealist mood
Through his music, and the deafening sound of his guitar
Prince was extravagant; he was a born epic superstar
A true divine inspiration for all of us left in the hood.
