Purpose Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Purpose

Everyone has a destiny,
Everyone has a place,
I’m still searching,
But I haven’t even found 1st base

I’m wondering,
What is my purpose,
What is in store for me,
All I can do is hope,
I’m something

All the stars around me,
Shine like diamonds in the sky,
They all have a special place,
I wonder when I’ll find mine

All the geese fly,
Moonbeams shining on their wings,
They soar through the sky,
Looking for a place of their own,
A place to call home

Maybe I should just stop looking,
Maybe destiny will catch up in time,
Nothing has even touched the hook,
Or pulled on the line

But I can’t wait,
Not even another day,
I hear it calling,
I just need to find the way

I want to be stronger,
I want to find the confidence I need,
I don’t know how much longer,
I can hold onto the limb of the tree

I just want to find my place,
Is that so much to ask,
To find where I belong,
To find the spot I long

I will not stop searching,
With or without a doubt,
Don’t try to stop me,
I need to find what I’m about

I’m wondering,
What is my purpose,
What is in store for me,
All I can do is hope,
…I’m something
