Pursuit Of A Soul Poem by Gary James Smith

Pursuit Of A Soul

Rating: 5.0

Pursuit Of A Soul

God is constantly on the prowl
In the pursuit of a soul
He is not willing that any should perish
But that each one be made whole
Stubbornness is such a sin
And pride along with it as well
Just these two traits as attachments
Can lead a soul to Hell

How often we fail in the small things
To see God's omnipotent hand
Why even just the fact that you're breathing
Should be an offering for thanksgiving
But we're so often full of ourselves
To have room for some Deity
But just take your breath away
And where will you spend eternity

I trust you'll have a better perspective
If you find God in pursuit of you
For where will you go that He is not there
For He has every view of you
Keep a watchful eye and ear
Don't miss out when God's trying to bless
I'd settle anyday for a place in Heaven
Friend don't you settle for anything less!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
