Pushed Under Carpet Climate Change Causes Poem by Terence George Craddock

Pushed Under Carpet Climate Change Causes

fossil fuels power our homes
keeping lights on our rooms warm
who wants to sit in darkness
cold freezing in winter snowstorm
fossil fuels power our cars trains ships planes
who wants to walk to work other countries
our internet habits are also responsible
for global warming climate change historical

every email sent movie streamed question Googled asked
adds carbon dioxide to ecosystem atmosphere greenhouse baked
this tiny amount for each activity online when added up helped
cook our earth equals 3.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions
1.4 billion tons per year internet streaming usage yearly increases
roughly equivalent to total annual emissions of South Africa Brazil

Turkey but wait invest in bitcoin
revolution money as digital assets
creates more energy demand takes
electricity to online generate adds
more energy need because internet
money records costs cooks this planet

climate change internet increases
what nobody told people citizens
internet usage is a cost to climate
media schools taught farmers cows
were global warming 2% estimated
was the problem in war on farmers

strangely folks on continent Africa 1.5 to 2 million
wildebeest zebras on the great migration pay zero
climate change taxes wild animals not accountable
sheep goats horses cats dogs beloved pets humans
are written out of climate change cause equations
politicians media use shifty data public manipulates
