Pushing Space Poem by Valerie Dohren

Pushing Space

Rating: 5.0

Let me sleep, I'm oh so tired
Tired of life's endeavours -
Had enough of pushing space
And making new ‘forevers.'

Let me sleep, just can't move on
On into the future -
Had enough of marking time
And bandaging my ‘suture.'

Life has brought me endless grief
Grief and loss prevailing -
Had enough of loneliness
And so oh so tired of failing.

Let me sleep, oh let me sleep
Sleep through new endeavours -
Had enough of pushing space
And making new ‘forevers.'
